Eye Leaf with Amethyst

It's amazing where your inspiration comes from.... I was out in the Presidio here in San Francisco last Saturday and we were around beautiful, tall redwoods. We took a short hike and got some great photos out of it too. I love being outdoors and I love that you can be in the city with tall buildings and in just a few short miles your in the forest. :o)

Anyway, these pair is sterling silver wires soldered together shaped into little leaves. My boyfriend said they look like eyes, hence the name "Eye Leaf". I took amethyst cobachons and and soldered them with fine silver bezels on the bottom corner of each leaf. Then I hammered the sides so they become slightly wider. The ear wires are also handmade.
