Still jet lagged

The time now is 8:54pm and I feel like it's been passed my bedtime since 2pm this afternoon. My eyes are so tired and my head hurts, almost feels like a hangover.... almost.

I got up a little before 6am this morning to the sound of the cock-a-doodle-doo outside. It's not our chickens, we don't have any here. I've seen chickens running around wild around the neighborhood. I got up and looked out the window and saw that the full moon that was still out. So, of course I had to have a photograph.  





I got up and had my cup of coffee and off to the farmers market we went to get some fish and vegetables.
      



My mom's cat and I became friends instantly. He is such a sweetheart and he's very affectionate! He sounds like a little baby crying when he's meowing... so weird. Sometimes I think it's my nephew making that sound. His name is Me.

First day of my 3-week vacation

For the next 3 weeks I will be here in the Philippines on vacation. ...wooohoo!! It's been awhile for me since I've taken a vacation this long and I am very  excited to be here. So for the next three weeks  I will be away from my jewelry making and be focused on taking some really great photographs.... my other passion!

So after a reaaally  long flight (16 hours!) and no sleep, I still managed to take a couple of great shots. This beautiful tropical beauty is in my mom's garden. I'm really not sure what this flower is called, though.

My Valentine Wish List

Etsy is the best place to find hand made items. You can find almost anything and everything from jewelry, candles, soap... to clothing, hand bags and even shoes! Valentine's Day is just around the corner and I thought I'd share some of my faves from my fellow etsians with you all.

I think the "Heart and Arrow Smitten Mitten..for holding hands when its cold outside.." is one of the cutest things and best invention! I've never seen one like it! The "SWANclothing THIGH-HIGH GARTERS" is super sexy! ...and "Valentina Dog" is just adorable... too cute! I found some lovely earrings, an awesome journal, a very cute painting from a talented artist, a small pouch for my make-up and a couple of wonderful hand-made Valentine cards. Check them out!

Letter Pendants

My latest creation is this letter pendant. I made a few last month as Christmas gifts and they all loved it. And so I thought, why not make more?!


This is made of sterling silver wires, soldered and hammered. I then adorned them with some lapis lazuli rondelle beads and a red agate bead. These are sold with a sterling silver chain and a hand made S clasp. Check my etsy site for more photos and info. They are custom made to order, so these might take about a week to make.

Eye Leaf with Amethyst

It's amazing where your inspiration comes from.... I was out in the Presidio here in San Francisco last Saturday and we were around beautiful, tall redwoods. We took a short hike and got some great photos out of it too. I love being outdoors and I love that you can be in the city with tall buildings and in just a few short miles your in the forest. :o)

Anyway, these pair is sterling silver wires soldered together shaped into little leaves. My boyfriend said they look like eyes, hence the name "Eye Leaf". I took amethyst cobachons and and soldered them with fine silver bezels on the bottom corner of each leaf. Then I hammered the sides so they become slightly wider. The ear wires are also handmade.
